School Alert Status Systems

Daily Incident and Crisis Management Solution

School Alert Status System

Many schools today are not prepared to handle or respond to an active crisis event or incident, such as an active shooter on campus. While new response plans and drills are being implemented to train faculty and students on how to react in these situations, there is still a level of uncertainty to the location of a crisis incident for people that seek a more secure area and for first responders to know where to be upon arriving at the school.

School alert status systems from IdentiSys are designed for individual K-12 schools and school districts to monitor and provide instant real-time alerts and provide visibility using dynamic floor plan maps to school staff, administrators, security officers and first responders. This system also functions as a daily incident management system to monitor medical emergencies and classroom disturbances.

Using existing devices and networks, communications are enhanced through chat and email alerts. Integration with video, access control, response plans, intercom and more expands your response capabilities. A dynamic graphical map provides real-time status representing five color conditions, which are completely configurable based on facility procedures.

How does it work?

  • During a crisis event or daily incident, staff and faculty send color-coded alerts to facility administrators — and first responders, if applicable — through networked devices.
  • For a daily incident, facility administrators are notified of specific incidents and depending on the situation, they can respond using the messaging feature or send a school resource officer, nurse or appointed school staff to the room where the alert came from.
  • If the alert is for a crisis event, law enforcement and first responders are notified and can view dynamic floor plans in real-time, with accurate updates automatically displayed on their mobile phone, tablet or patrol car laptop. Features include email and text alerts to authorities and responders, two-way chat between individuals and responders and interface to paging and mass notification systems
    • The alert status system provides critical situational awareness information to first responders with real-time status updates to aid in response and deployment. First Responders no longer walk blindly into harm’s way with the knowledge obtained from the alert status ystem and provides for timely accurate decisions.
