Badge Printers

Badge printers are used to create plastic photo ID badges. Badges are made from a PVC material that is durable and long lasting.

The term "badge printer" is used to describe an ID card printer used primarily for the use of creating ID badge credentials that are worn, such as employee ID badges. Two of the most popular types of badge printers are direct to card and reverse transfer, but inkjet badge printers also exist.

Most badge printers create credit card-sized badges (3.370"x 2.125"), which are then used with ID badge accessories — lanyards, badge holders, strap clips and badge reels. Oversized badge printers create larger card formats, including 3.375" x 4.875", 3.46" x 5.5", 3.5" x 5.5" and 4" x 6".
